The event concentrates on the projects funded by the European 6th Framework Porgram, dealing with Photonic Integrated Circuits / Integration of Photonic Technologies. The objectives of this event are:
- Contribute towards building a European Photonics community;
- Encourage the exchange of information and best-practice between projects;
- Engage the actors in a discussion on topics and challenges of common interest;
- Contribute to the reflection on the future European Photonics policies and strategies;
- Provide feedback on the implementation of the Framework Program;
- Present your latest achievements and share your experience with your peers;
- Achieve synergy and cross-fertilisation among projects.
We expect each project within this cluster to be represented, but the event is in principle open to any representative of the European Photonics community. The event will comprise short presentations from all the projects of this thematic cluster, presentations of high-level representatives of the Photonics community, presentation on the EU's policies and will provide space for bi-lateral discussions between project representatives.
